Reconciling Ministries

On 18 May 2008, the Swarthmore United Methodist Congregation completed a congregational vote and became a Reconciling Congregation.
A Reconciling congregation is one that makes an explicit public statement declaring its openness to all God's children, without regard to sexual orientation or identity, and its acceptance of all persons as full participants in Christian life.
   Right now, we are the newest Reconciling congregation in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of The United Methodist Church. We heartily invite all to come with a generous spirit and join us in developing a community that reflects our Reconciling aspirations.
